The Democrat has a long history of being one of the best community daily newspapers in Mississippi. Sitting on the picturesque bluffs of the Mississippi River overlooking Louisiana, Natchez is known for its antebellum homes, balloon races and literary heritage, while Concordia Parish, La., is known for famous sons such as Jerry Lee Lewis as well as its burgeoning riverfront development. The Democrat coverage area spans approximately four Mississippi counties and Concordia Parish in Louisiana.
